The beginners group is held on Monday and Wednesday evenings and we’re lucky enough to have a number of qualified and enthusiastic run leaders to help you achieve your running goals, whatever they may be. All of our run leaders are UK Athletics trained and CRB checked. You can meet us here.
You set the pace and distance, so don’t be put off if you’ve just started out. Our goal is to let you set your own targets and help to you achieve them, without getting an injury.
Our beginner’s sessions are split into three phases:
Meet at the Grantham Tennis Club, Gonerby Rd, Gonerby Hill Foot, Grantham NG31 8HU on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 18:40 for initial registration and a discussion of your starting point. We begin the warm-up at 18:45. If you want more information please email us.
Each spring, Grantham Running Club holds a Couch to 5k and 10 Weeks to 10k beginners programme, aimed specifically at those of you just starting out on your running journey.
This year, our spring beginner’s programme starts on 27 March 2017. Registration is £10, which includes 10 weeks of training and a graduation BBQ and technical-tshirt.
Age and previous experience are no barrier as the graduates of our previous beginner’s course will tell you.
