• Occupation: Team Leader
  • Favourite race: Usually the one I've just done! Belvoir Challenge - mud glorious mud! Never thought I would fall in love with cross country
  • Least favourite race: Women's Running 10k Nottingham - it was lap after boring lap which took us past the finish line a few times. Soul destroying!
  • Why did you start running: I have always done some forms of exercise - aerobics, gym, spinning - but had always steered clear of running because I thought I couldn't do it. Then 2 years ago I watched the London Marathon on tv and decided that was something I wanted to do. I saw the different shapes, sizes and ages of people taking part and decided I would try
  • Furthest Distance Run: Edinburgh marathon
  • Injuries: Right at the start of starting running I tried to go too fast too soon and pulled a hamstring. Thanks to a brilliant sports injury guy I no longer suffer with this and don't tend to get any injuries at all - except the odd face plant!
  • Trainers worn: Brooks Glycerin 12
  • Favourite running kit: Good trainers every time
  • Top tips from my experience: After going through anxieties of thinking I wasn't fast enough, good enough, couldn't run etc I would advise any new runner to make it their own journey and not compare with anyone else. I have found that being a runner makes you part of a huge supportive club full of people who understand exactly what it has taken you to get to that start line. And join a club for the friendship and advice!
  • How many miles per week running: 30-35
  • Any other hobbies Are you kidding????
