Favourite race: Not a single race but a series of races when everything clicked into place, these were winning the Forres 7.8 mile race, running the Henlow 10 in 52:37 and winning the Elgin Half in 68:12. I trained hard for years then suddenly reached this breakthrough.

Why did you start running? Started running at secondary school during PE games.

Top tip from your experience: Set a target race. Train consistently, run the right distances the right way in training.
Build up your capacity by gradually increasing your anaerobic threshold with interval training once per week, and incorporating
a weekly longer run. Race in other races towards your target race. Taper before your race. Allow recovery period after the race.
Keep a training dairy and take recovery / non running days during your training. Be disciplined but enjoy and have fun with your
running training and racing.

GRC was formed during the summer of 2010 by a group of runners
ranging from the complete novice to the seasoned club runner.

200 members and three UKA licensed coaches and twelve UKA licensed run leaders . We hope that joining not only
