Favourite race: Stamford St Valentine's 30K, also the Spires and Steeples Challenge was my 1st trail run and made me think thats the direction my running will go once next years Manchester marathon is done.
Least Favourite Race: Edinburgh Marathon, a beautiful city that the route totally avoids.
Why did you start running? I often ask myself this! I don't know what inspired me as I'd never previously had a sporting bone in my body not even at school!
Injuries received?: Plantar fasciitis when I'd not long been running nothing since touch wood
Top tip from your experience: Get along to the club training nights, apart from getting the structured training that's needed to improve your running there's also the social side of it. Whatever your ability you'll gain much more than from just going for a run.
How many miles do you run per week? 30-40 over the winter less in the summer when I spend more time on my other hobbies.
Favourite Running Kit? Always go for Adidas tops more for form than function I just like the classic 3 stripe design. Also like inov-8 gear and GRC vest of course.
Other hobbies? Cycling, Motorcycling, Travel, Rugby League (only as a spectator I'm far to soft to play!)
GRC was formed during the summer of 2010 by a group of runners
ranging from the complete novice to the seasoned club runner.
Since forming we have been a vibrant, growing club with almost
200 members and three UKA licensed coaches and twelve UKA licensed run leaders . We hope that joining not only
improves the times and enjoyment from your running but also introduces
you to new friends and the activities we take part in.
