This ten mile race round the streets of Peterborough has the reputation for being one of the most treacherous in the region but this year rain on top of a heavy leaf fall made care to avoid getting injured the main priority of the six Grantham Running Club athletes who took part.

Despite the challenging nature of the course on the day Scott Jones not only managed to set a personal best time but was also able to dip under the seventy minute mark. He was closely followed by the rapidly improving Andrew Spencer who knocked two and a half minutes off a PB set earlier this year. Robert McCardle cracked the mythical 70%, whilst for fellow GRC teammates Nick and Louise Payne and Ruth Dunston it was their first time at this distance.
