Luxembourg Night Marathon and Half
Nikki Carr with Nick and Louise Payne travelled to Luxembourg as part of their employer's spring running trip. After a bit of a nightmare flight, they had the rare privilege of most of the day free as the race didn't start until 7pm Saturday night! By all accounts, support was raucous and the race very busy yet they all ran good times.
Nick finished the marathon in 3:51:51, in spite of throwing in some walks in preparation for his ultra. Louise was first of the group home in the half in 1:51:32, while Nikki broke her personal best in 2:06:11.
We had one member making the journey to Edinburgh for their marathon, new recruit Anthony Chamberlain finished in a highly creditable 4:07:32. Well done Nev!
Anna O'Hare made her return to racing in Great Cornard in Suffolk (no, we had no idea either). Finishing in 7th in 19:38, a whisker outside her Newark best.
At the other end of the country, Nikki Jefferson was in Durham, finishing 16th in 19:42, which we believe is her fastest parkrun
At Melton, Penny Hodges was just outside her PB in 21:18 whilst Paul Durham smashed his by another 45 seconds in 23:23
While Richard Dobbs was our only representative at Newark, finishing in a PB in 25:31
