Club Competitions

This page summarises the sub-items from the Club Competitions menu.

Grantham Running Club’s main intra-club competition is the Grand Prix, which is a multi-race competition over a variety of road distances, judged by age grading.

We also organise an annual 10K Handicapped race at Ropsley in the autumn.

The EA-licenced GRC-only Club 5K was launched in 2024 and is an excellent opportunity for a fast time, and for newly-graduated Beginning to Run participants, a first official race.

The Lenton Predictor is a 2022 addition to the Club’s competitions, requiring runners to attempt to run a 10K(ish) race without a watch to a time predetermined by each runner.

All about the Club’s Age Grading Certificates and Awards Night Trophies criteria and award history.
