Round 11 of the club GP series gets underway on Friday 30th June at 19:15 and it’s the popular Club 5K race up on Turnor Rd (it’s so popular we used the shot above from last year for our main website header!). The course is an out-and-back above the town that starts on Hall Road, heads towards Harrowby Hall, then turns up Turnor Road, with a turnaround just before you hit Harrowby Lane. The route has a couple of gentle hills, and is generally a good course for a PB.
We also get to welcome and encourage the Beginning-to-Run group as this is the grand finale/icing on their cake!
There’ll be the usual cold beer/cider/softy for all involved, so it’s going to be a good social event also. Parking is really limited at the start of Hall Road, so if you can possibly avoid it, please walk. If you can’t, please car pool to reduce congestion and make sure more people can enjoy a beverage!
Please sign up in Runtogether beforehand to give us an idea of how many are coming.
All free of charge, so you’d be mad to miss out.
