Two members of GRC travelled the short distance on Sunday to take part in the Peterborough Midsummer 10k race organised by Sublime racing. A delightful run mainly on hard surface allowing the runners to take in the scenic views of beautiful landscape of meadows, lakes and woodland on a very warm morning.
The course was relatively flat with a few ups and downs as well as a few wobbly bridges! All runners received a technical t- shirt, colourful medal and goodie bag. A race recommended for those local. Both runners were happy with their times considering the temperature with Vicki Geeson crossing the line in 1:11:04 and Gillian Cardus in 1:12:08.
