Heaton Park Ultra Loop

The Ultra Loop at Heaton Park in Manchester is an inclusive and flexible 8-hour event with no limit on how far you can run. Within the 8 hours, you are encouraged to run as many loops as you can. The mixed-terrain course combines roads and woodland trails around a 5km loop.

Grantham Running Club member Karl Clark used the event as the ideal training ground as he prepares to take on his solo entry at Equinox 24 later in the year.

Completing his third ultra distance of the year, Karl completed a total of 13 loops in a time of 7hrs 55mins, covering a total distance of 65km (40.39 miles) and finishing 42nd out of the 294 starters.
