Christmas Lights Run
The next event in our festive calendar will be the annual GRC Christmas lights run at 7pm on the 19th from Grantham Tennis Club.
Festive fancy dress is encouraged. This run will be around 7k (I’ll confirm nearer the time as route is determined by the best lights but will be similar to last year) and is a slow bimble – it is not about speed, it is about being social and enjoying the festive sights of the town, with plenty of stops along the way.
Soft and alcoholic drinks, and snacks available for purchase from the Tennis Club afterwards (they kindly host us all year so let’s support them by spending some money!).
Please book on here so we know how many to expect and can ensure run leader cover.
Christmas Eve Breakfast Runs
The last organised sessions of the year are our breakfast bimbles at 8am on Christmas Eve. There will be 5k, 10k and approx 10 mile routes offered, starting and ending at the Tollemache. This is a silly, chatty run with relaxed pacing. Fancy dress is very much encouraged. The pub will be open for breakfast at the end of the run, but you are most welcome to just join a run if you can’t stay.
Christmas Jumper Social – 21st December
Another GRC tradition is the Christmas Jumper Social. It’s a simple concept; wear your worst Christmas jumper and come to the pub with your running idiot friends.
This year the festivities will be at the Nobody Inn. As a bonus, local legends 23Reasons will be playing so not only will you have the pleasure of drinking while wearing dodgy knitwear, you’ll be treated to live music.
What could go wrong?
