Martin Carter, Nov 2016

Occupation: Water Engineer.

Favourite Race: Langtoft 10k -not my fastest 10k but proved to myself I could run well if I put my mind to it.

Least Favourite race: Eye10k. I proper messed up this race and had to stop walk for a bit.

Biggest running achievement: Taking part in my first half marathon and doing the Equinox 24.

Why did you start road running? I wanted to try and get fit so signed up to the first GRC Couch-to-5k course and haven’t looked back since.

Injuries received? Touch wood I’ve had nothing more than a few blisters and sore muscles

Average miles run per week:15-20

Furthest Distance ran? Half marathon

Trainers worn: Brooks Ravenna 7

Top running tip for beginners: Have faith in yourself. It will seem hard at first but will be so worth it in the end, and a good pair of shoes.

Favourite running kit? My GPS watch and running sunglasses.

Other hobbies? Ten pin bowling, golf and going to concerts.
