Showing absolutely no sign of slowing down on her meteoric rise and vast improvement was the winner of June’s Member of The Month.
A relative late comer to the sport, but of no great surprise that she’d take to running eventually given the family atmosphere that must be deeply influential to her.
Back to Rutland Water 10k we venture as she set out determined, strong and with some confidence from a decent block of training. Coming home in much the same manner after superbly pacing miles 3,4,5 and 6, she crossed the finish line in 49:04 smashing the sub 50 min target she had been chasing, earning her a comfortable distance best time of over 4 minutes!
Clearly hungry and high on confidence, she celebrated barely a week later at the GRC ‘Covid 5k’ course on Turnor Road running a time that would decimate her hitherto distance best set at a parkrun, with a superb 23:28.
