Peterborough 5K Series – Ferry Meadows

Five members of Grantham Running Club took part in the final race of the Peterborough 5K Grand Prix Series which was held at Ferry Meadows on the 6th August.

Sarah, Caroline, Peter, Jake and Paul

The course was one of the best in the Series – flat and on decent footpaths which enabled some very fast times. Jake Richardson came third in the race with an impressive time of 15.37. Peter Bonner also put in a strong performance to achieve a time of 19.38. Paul Davis, who was determined to finish as close to 24 minutes as he could, finished in 24.05. Sarah High, returning from injury, completed the race in 25.09 and was closely followed by Caroline Davis in 25.19.

In terms of overall Series results, congratulations go to the following:

Jake Richardson – 3rd male overall;
Rob Howbrook – 2nd in his age category;
Caroline Davis – 2nd in her age category;
Sarah High – 3rd in her age category.
