Thurlby 10K

An Englishman, a Scotsman…and another Scotsman walked into a 10K race….

A hot Sunday morning on the 12th July saw three runners from Grantham Running Club participate in the Thurlby 10K road race, a lovely South Kesteven village race with some long hill climbs.

First back for the club was Robert McArdle with a time of 54.33. Next to cross the finish line was Paul Jepson timed at 57.29. Feeling the effects of the heat Richard Urquhart managed to finish 101.55.

The first male finisher was Asa Elkington-Hobbs-Rex 36.29. The first female was Joanna Carter 48.14.

97 runners managed to complete the race with a medal and a drinks bottle awarded to all finishers.

A big thanks to all the marshals who assisted in helping and cheering for all the runners.
