Revesby Estate 10K

5 members of Grantham Running Club made their way to the Revesby Running Festival organised by Trident Events.  Set against the stunning backdrop of the privately owned Revesby Estate, the festival offered up various events including a 5K, 10K, half marathon and Challenge the Estate to choose from.

The GRC five took on the (approximately) 10K race which was a challenging multi terrain course with track, road and field edges to tackle, before you even factored in the ever changing weather.

First back for the club was Russell Maksymiw in 9th place.  He happened to be celebrating his birthday on race day and this helped him to 2nd place in his new age category with a time of 47:29.

Capitalising on his love for trail running, Dale Towning crossed the finish next for GRC in an impressive  time of 49:16, netting him 15th place overall.

Dan Wallace finished in 39th with a time of 53:06 followed next by his wife Catherine Wallace in 82nd with a time of 1:03:01, both achieving course PBs.

Melissa Winter followed shortly after in 85th with a time of 1:03:27.

Male winner: Edward Evison (Skegness & District RC 39:22. Female Winner: Suzanne Goodenough (Lincsquad) 48:25
