March 2024 – Cameron Hoggan

March saw GRC represented by 63 runners in 17 races ranging from 10k to 35 miles, with many runners getting their last race prep in for the upcoming marathons.

Nominees:
We start with Jo Grace, who ran a PB at the Retford Half Marathon clocking 1:52:58 and then a week later, ran the Ashby 20 in an impressive 03:04:36.

Next we have Matthew Atter, who beat a PB that has stood since 2017 at the North Lincs Half Marathon, running home in 1:25:53.

Runners Up

Firstly, to Samuel Jepson, who also ran a PB at the North Lincolnshire Half Marathon, clocking 1:22:55 and then a week later, ran the Keith Hall Memorial 10K in 37:19.

Our second runner up is Matthew Kingston-Lee, who was taking part in his first race at the North Lincolnshire Half Marathon following heel surgery in the summer of 2022. He crossed the line in 1:22:08 which was good enough for a 80+% age grading.

Winner

Now to our Member of the Month for March. Cameron Hoggan ran the Retford Half Marathon, achieving a new PB of 1:35:43, cutting a massive 7:24 off his previous best time which was set back in 2019.

Well done Cameron and all the nominees
