2026 GP Line Up Announced

Following the recent poll, here is the GP series for 2026! As always, the calendar is subject to amendments and some details are still to be confirmed.

What is the GP Series?
The Club presents a calendar of races throughout the year, with at least one race over the ‘classic’ distances: 5K, 5 Miles, 10K, 10 Miles, and Half Marathon. The calendar is subject to amendment if the estimated dates of races change.

In order to qualify, runners must log at least six (6) scores, a runner can of course complete more than six rounds, it will be the highest six scores used. This must be composed of at least three different distances. For clarity, a parkrun round is NOT a separate distance and will be classified as 5K. For example; a person can race 2 x 5K, 2 x 10K, 2 x 5 Mile etc. so long as three separate distances are done.

Members can also nominate one ‘joker’ race that isn’t on the calendar to be included for the GP. The event nominated can be any road race in the world with a certificate for accuracy but must be nominated at least 24 hours in advance of it taking place. This can be done either by declaring on our GRC Members Only Facebook page, privately messaging Zoë Wragg or Russel Whittaker or by emailing: secretary@granthamrunningclub.co.uk.

The roster with entry links, results and race report links can be found on our GP page.
