Volunteers Needed – Stroxton XC 23/11/25

GRC will be co-hosting (with Grantham Athletic Club) the Lincs League Cross Country match on Sunday, 23rd November at Stroxton, just outside Grantham (///toenail.windpipe.concerts or Google Maps).

It is very important to the Club that we support the Lincs League otherwise there is a very real possibility that it will be lost for good, so we really encourage our members to compete. However, if you are not competing, we also need at least 15 club members (or other willing adults) to support the event by volunteering for marshalling and other support roles.

The marshal role is very simple; you’re there to direct runners on the course, inform the Race Director in the event of any difficulties and bring back any cones, race tape and signs from your position at the end. Other roles are similar to parkrun funnel style jobs.

Volunteers need to arrive at the farm by 09:45 for briefing, ready for the first race at circa 10:30, and you should be done by about midday. Wrap up warm, wear stout shoes and be prepared for rain (though we hope not).

Anyone able to volunteer needs to contact Fraser Marshall via email or send a DM on social media; full instructions and guidance will be issued closer to the event.

Thanks!

Fraser Marshall, Sarah High & Russel Whittaker
