Sarah High, Jan 18

In a month short on races, many of those shortlisted took part in the Folksworth 15 Mile Race, which will go down in history as featuring some of the worst race conditions witnessed in living memory. Andrew Pask, who ran a 15 Mile PB; Catherine Payne, who won her age category; and Peter Bonner, who raced well, despite suffering a nasty fall, were all considered. Peter was cited too for completing all four rounds of the North Midlands Cross Country League, including a strong showing at the season finale at Wollaton Park in January.

Hannah San Jose, who joined us in 2017, has enjoyed several months of continually chipping away at her parkrun PB, culminating with her current best of 22:11 run on January 20th, which places her currently #2 for 2018. Hopefully she can recover soon from her injury which has sadly sidelined her.

Grant Davies, who only joined us in January 2018, clocked 18:32 at Sheffield Hallam parkrun in January which ranks him #5 all time GRC parkrunner, just one second behind fourth placed Gav Meadows.

All could have been considered worthy winners, but it was Sarah High that was awarded Member of the Month for January 2018. Women’s Club Captain Sarah finished all four races of the North Midlands Cross Country League and was rewarded with a trophy at Wollaton Park for winning her age group.

Many congratulations Sarah on your trophy and for winning Member of the Month!
